AUTOWAY WOVEN FABRICS have been designed for use in a variety of civil engineering applications from road works and drainage systems to erosion control projects and have been found to be ideal in areas where poor ground conditions prevail and weak sub-soil is evident.

AUTOWAY FABRICS are woven from extruded polypropylene tapes with a very low specific gravity, producing a product of regular construction with a high strength to weight ratio.

AUTOWAY FABRICS will not absorb any appreciable amount of moisture and are unaffected by soil alkalinity or soil acidity making them ideal in road and drainage applications. Properly installed AUTOWAY FABRICS will retain their high strength and other properties for many years.

Access roads to building sites, material storage areas, forestry work areas, agricultural areas and refuse disposal areas use Autoway Geotextile Fabrics.

Autoway is also used in the formation of permanent and temporary roads, and can considerably increase the lifespan and quality of the road.

The Autoway separation layer will prevent loss of aggregate into the sub-grade which can cause rutting. The separation layer will also prevent the pumping of mud and fines into the sub-base, which would reduce its strength.

Autoway helps to strengthen the areas subject to tensile stresses in the sub-base.

TARMAC RESURFACING ROADS AND PAVEMENTS

The use of AUTOWAY as a membrane separation below the wearing course of a road can prevent reflective cracking on the surface.

The AUTOWAY membrane effects a wider cone of flexing by supporting the asphalt across a crack allowing the elastic properties to reduce fatigue.

AUTOWAY 240 is found to be particularly effective in this end use.
