AUTOWAY WOVEN FABRICS have been designed for use in a variety of civil engineering applications from road works and drainage systems to erosion control projects and have been found to be ideal in areas where poor ground conditions prevail and weak sub-soil is evident.

AUTOWAY FABRICS are woven from extruded polypropylene tapes with a very low specific gravity, producing a product of regular construction with a high strength to weight ratio.

AUTOWAY FABRICS will not absorb any appreciable amount of moisture and are unaffected by soil alkalinity or soil acidity making them ideal in road and drainage applications. Properly installed AUTOWAY FABRICS will retain their high strength and other properties for many years.

SELECTION OF AUTOWAY FABRICS:
SELECTION OF AUTOWAY FABRICS - AUTOWAY 90

Autoway 90 is by far the most popular fabric combining superior tensile strength and puncture resistance qualities, in a comparison to standard non-wovens such as Terram 1000 and Typar 3407 along with a permeability level more than double the normal D.O.T. Highway Works Specification.

Autoway 90 is the recommended grade for drains and car parks and is the most economical general separation fabric for normal road construction projects conforming in all respects to the D.O.T. (clause 609) Highway Specification.

Autoway 90 has been used in the M74 upgrading and as a site preparation fabric of the major Argos Distribution Depot at Strafford by Birse.

Amec, Balfour Beaty and Morrison, among others have recently utilised this grade and we would recommend it as a general purpose stock Geotextile of the Heavyside Builders Merchant and for most everyday applications.
