AUTOWAY WOVEN FABRICS have been designed for use in a variety of civil engineering applications from road works and drainage systems to erosion control projects and have been found to be ideal in areas where poor ground conditions prevail and weak sub-soil is evident.

AUTOWAY FABRICS are woven from extruded polypropylene tapes with a very low specific gravity, producing a product of regular construction with a high strength to weight ratio.

AUTOWAY FABRICS will not absorb any appreciable amount of moisture and are unaffected by soil alkalinity or soil acidity making them ideal in road and drainage applications. Properly installed AUTOWAY FABRICS will retain their high strength and other properties for many years.

SELECTION OF AUTOWAY FABRICS
DRAINAGE

Figure left shows a typical rutting of road surface caused by interaction of aggregate and sub-soil.

Figure left shows AUTOWAY in position preventing the interaction - thus extending the life of a road surface.

The use of AUTOWAY FABRICS can reduce the cost in land drains and road drainage systems.

By using AUTOWAY as a filter medium, larger granular materials without fines can be used in trench drains.

The use of AUTOWAY can reduce trench dimensions and eliminate the need for extra installations e.g. carrier pipe and manholes.

For area drainage of sports fields and equestrian areas, horizontal drainage layers of desired media may be required - protected above and below by AUTOWAY FABRIC to prevent contamination.

Autoway 90 is the recommended grade for drains.
