AUTOWAY WOVEN FABRICS have been designed for use in a variety of civil engineering applications from road works and drainage systems to erosion control projects and have been found to be ideal in areas where poor ground conditions prevail and weak sub-soil is evident.

AUTOWAY FABRICS are woven from extruded polypropylene tapes with a very low specific gravity, producing a product of regular construction with a high strength to weight ratio.

AUTOWAY FABRICS will not absorb any appreciable amount of moisture and are unaffected by soil alkalinity or soil acidity making them ideal in road and drainage applications. Properly installed AUTOWAY FABRICS will retain their high strength and other properties for many years.

SELECTION OF AUTOWAY FABRICS - INTRODUCTION

Manufactured 450 cm wide, 100 metre rolls for easy handling, AUTOWAY Fabrics are manufactured to five main specifications which cover the normal range of civil engineering applications, and it is left to the civil engineer to select the appropriate fabric to suit each particular situation.

For the smaller contract and as an everyday general purpose Geotextile, Autoway 90 and Autoway 120 fulfill most requirements as well as being the main road construction grades (recently used on M74 upgrading)

Autoway 150 is a recent addition which is providing popular as it combines high performance and economy.

Autoway 200 has become increasingly specified as an excellent, high performance fabric where greater reassurance on performance is required (e.g. M65 Blackburn By-pass and M77 Glasgow/Ayr Route)

Autoway 240 is the super heavyweight fabric where soil conditions are poor and harsh treatment is to be expected.
